Avery's school had their annual father/daughter dance last week.  It was a hawaiian theme.  They had a good time. :)

Devin's field trip

I went on Devin's field trip to help out last week. They went to the park and then to Domino's Pizza to learn how pizza is made. Then they were able to build their very own. They loved it!
Below is them seeing the dough.

Watching it come rolling out of the oven.
I didn't get any pictures at the park. But he had a great time!

Spring Fling

Our annual family spring fling was over a week ago. Justin was supposed to be on a scout campout, but it snowed so hard the roads were to dangerous to go, so they ended up having a make shift camp in the leaders backyard the next day with all kinds of fun stuff. So, needless to say, he wasn't present for the get together this time, but he said he had the best day. We headed over to Ken and Jeri's in Yucaipa. I could see the snow was only a short distance (only about 7 minutes) up the street, so we passed it by and went to see the snow for a few minutes before heading over.
The kids had fun playing outside. Below is Avery and Lexi and Brayden and Devin.
Aunt Goldy (far right) flew in from Georgia. Left to right - Mike, Mom, Steve, Mary, Aunt G.
Jeri, Ken, Randy, Tandy.
Kirk (nice face!), Dad, Kenny K, Jean
Brenda and Mom.
It was a great day! I always love getting together with all my cousins and aunts and uncles!

Easter 2012

It was another great Easter this year. The Easter Bunny was good to the kids again this year.

In the afternoon we headed over to Kirk's moms for a last celebration at her house before it closes escrow. For those that haven't heard she will be moving in with us and we are in the process of doing an addition for her. It was a very nice day!
Mark and Sylvia brought their Wii so the boys could play together. They had a lot of fun with that!
I wasn't that great at taking pictures. Didn't get any of Mark or Kirk's mom!

Soccer time again

Avery had her first game 2 weekends ago. She only got to play for the first quarter because she had injured her foot and it hurt too bad to play. (the doctor said she pulled something and to rest it for a couple of weeks, so she's giving it a try this week again). Her team is called Soccer Monkeys and she's not too thrilled with the name. We are excited to have Lexi and her back together again this season on the same team too. Yay! On her first game she was asked to be the team captain and got to wear the very exciting arm band. And it was a very cold day! It wasn't expected, so we weren't prepared. She ended up wearing her jacket under her jersey. Brrr!!!!

Spring Training and family fun

Our Spring Break is a whopping two weeks! On our first day of break we hooked up the trailer and headed to Mesa, Arizona. We were meeting up with Sandi and Dave and her kids and my mom and dad were coming in for a couple of days too. AND...we got to go to an Angels spring training game. They lost against the Rockies (Dave's team - boo!), but it was still fun! The kids even got Chris Iannetta's autograph on their hats.
The unfortunate part of the trip was where we stayed - the ghetto. It suited our purposes, but it really wasn't a nice place at all. Thank goodness this trip wasn't about the camping. Here is our lovely campsite...
Sunday morning we headed out to Queen Creek to visit with my good friend and old roommate, Lori and her family. It was so good seeing them! The kids all got a long wonderfully, Lori made us breakfast AND lunch and it was just a great day!

Then that evening Sandi, Dave, Jessica and Steven (Matthew wasn't feeling well) headed over and we had dinner together and played games.

Monday was the Angels game!
Our seats were great! We were just past 1st base and in the 3rd and 4th rows. We got to enjoy the players warming up. Here is Albert Pujols...

Justin and Avery got Chris Iannetta's autograph...
That night we all met up at mom and dad's hotel and headed down to the pool.
Tuesday we went swimming at our campground and then when everyone else got there we hung out in our campgrounds clubhouse. It was actually pretty nice!
This is a bit out of order, but before swimming and the clubhouse, we went over to Outdoor World to look around. It's the biggest we've been to and it even had a shooting range thing that was pretty fun.
That night Sandi had planned a surprise 50th birthday dinner for Dave, so we headed over to Chili's for that. His nephew and family were there. Then he took Jessie and his daughter Britney to see a movie and Sandi and my parents came back to our trailer to have smores and visit some more.
We headed home on Wednesday morning with lots of great memories!
