Spring Training and family fun

Our Spring Break is a whopping two weeks! On our first day of break we hooked up the trailer and headed to Mesa, Arizona. We were meeting up with Sandi and Dave and her kids and my mom and dad were coming in for a couple of days too. AND...we got to go to an Angels spring training game. They lost against the Rockies (Dave's team - boo!), but it was still fun! The kids even got Chris Iannetta's autograph on their hats.
The unfortunate part of the trip was where we stayed - the ghetto. It suited our purposes, but it really wasn't a nice place at all. Thank goodness this trip wasn't about the camping. Here is our lovely campsite...
Sunday morning we headed out to Queen Creek to visit with my good friend and old roommate, Lori and her family. It was so good seeing them! The kids all got a long wonderfully, Lori made us breakfast AND lunch and it was just a great day!

The kids taking a break from the trampoline and enjoying some down time watching tv.
Then that evening Sandi, Dave, Jessica and Steven (Matthew wasn't feeling well) headed over and we had dinner together and played games.

Monday was the Angels game!
Our seats were great! We were just past 1st base and in the 3rd and 4th rows. We got to enjoy the players warming up. Here is Albert Pujols...

Justin and Avery got Chris Iannetta's autograph...
That night we all met up at mom and dad's hotel and headed down to the pool.
Tuesday we went swimming at our campground and then when everyone else got there we hung out in our campgrounds clubhouse. It was actually pretty nice!
This is a bit out of order, but before swimming and the clubhouse, we went over to Outdoor World to look around. It's the biggest we've been to and it even had a shooting range thing that was pretty fun.
That night Sandi had planned a surprise 50th birthday dinner for Dave, so we headed over to Chili's for that. His nephew and family were there. Then he took Jessie and his daughter Britney to see a movie and Sandi and my parents came back to our trailer to have smores and visit some more.
We headed home on Wednesday morning with lots of great memories!
