Avery started soccer on Wednesday for the first time. She's still the queen of baseball, but with Fall ball having Sunday games, she decided to give soccer a try while she waits for her coveted baseball to begin in the Spring. It was a warm afternoon and I think she was surprised at how much running that goes on in soccer. It's certainly not baseball! :-) She did a great job! She's the cute one in red...baseball uniform, of course. Their team colors are purple and gray and the kids got to pick names for the team and then vote. The winner? The Purple Demons. We've never been to an entire game of soccer before. This will be interesting! The bonus for us is that her cousin, Lexi...second cousin? Second cousin, once removed? I get so confused. Anyway, they are on the same team. Woo hoo!

Lets see, you and I are cousins, that makes you and Damian First Cousin Once Removed, your child and his child second cousins.?? Really?? No, wait. You and me, cousins. Our kids, second cousins (Damian and Avery); Avery and Lexi second cousins once removed??? I'm very confused, TOOO!
