Today was Avery's last day of school and she had her graduation. This past year she has attended a special needs preschool and was a typical peer. What this means to us - it's free! She went Monday thru Thursday 8:30-11:30. The first part of the year she had a wonderful teacher, Miss Angela, but then she got another job opportunity and Avery was very sad to see her go. Since then she had Ms. Cheryl (above). She had about 4 other typical children in there with her and made a couple of good friends. She's had playdates with Iris and Ariana (below) and is looking forward to continuing her friendships with them throughout the summer. Good work this past year, Avery. Way to go, girl!

I can't believe it was free! That is so awesome. And I love that preschool in CA is 3 hours a day. Here it is 2 1/2. And get this... kindergarten is also only 2 1/2 hours a day. After announcements and getting the kids under control it will be time to clean up and go home. It's really a waste in my opinion but what can you do!
You should come to Georgia - ALL preschool in state accepted daycares is FREE. Then there is the pre-school at the actual school - all day, but just pre-k and you generally have to camp overnight starting the Friday prior - I'm SO not kidding. Needless to say we didn't even TRY to get into that pre-k program!!
Kindergarten was ALL day in Hawaii when my older kids went there. That was nice. Once they were in school, they were IN SCHOOL.
